Fiona gets up every morning to the same routine, and the small implant on her right temple makes sure she follows that routine every moment. Day in, day out.  It’s a routine that bureaucrats who work for the mega-conglomerate eState take great delight in: They are guaranteed a life of security and a leisurely retirement in return for 25 to 30 years of monotonous work under corporate control from 9 to 5.  But Fiona is getting restless. Her comfortable life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
